The Pennsylvania Appellate Court made a groundbreaking ruling, allowing workers’ compensation laws to cover medical cannabis expenses. Paul Sheetz, the deceased plaintiff, treated his chronic pain with medical cannabis after a work injury in 1977. He also used cannabis to wean off prescribed opioids.
